This idea is interesting but I’m not sure I’d sign up for it: ‘Brain pacemaker’ may help worst cases of depression:

To test an experimental surgery, doctors placed a device in the brains of six people who had all been treated for depression with drugs and talk therapy, and in some cases, electroshock therapy.

I read in another article that it means having holes drilled in one’s head to have the device implanted.
